FluMist Quadrivalent
The FDA has approved FluMist quadrivalent, the first quadrivalent vaccine for the prevention of seasonal influenza. The vaccine contains two influenza A strains and two influenza B strains and is indicated for use in people 2 to 49 years of age.

QNASL (beclomethasone dipropionate) Nasal Aerosol
The FDA has approved QNASL Nasal Aerosol, the first “dry” (nonaqueous) nasal aerosol corticosteroid for the treatment of allergic rhinitis in adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older. The once-daily, hydrofluoroalkane-propelled product is available by prescription only.

St. Josephs Product Line Extensions
St. Josephs Health Products, LLC, is extending its line of low-dose aspirin products to include regular strength aspirin (325 mg) for treatment of acute coronary syndrome, as well as a collection of “heart healthier” cough and cold products “specially formulated for high blood pressure.” Additional information is available at http://www.stjosephaspirin.com/new-products/.

Mederma Advanced Scar Gel
Mederma has introduced Advanced Scar Gel, a once-daily topical gel that is reported to help reduce discoloration and improve the texture and overall appearance of scars resulting from cuts, surgery, acne and burns. The gel is formulated with a proprietary botanical extract derived from onions (Allium cepa).
