Prilosec OTC Wildberry
Prilosec OTC (omeprazole) is now available with a flavored coating designed to give a burst of wildberry flavor that lasts for as long as 5 minutes after the tablet is swallowed. Consumers should be reminded not to chew the tablets; chewing destroys the enteric coating that protects omeprazole from degradation by gastric acid.

Bayer Migraine Formula
The Bayer product line has been extended to include Bayer Migraine Formula, containing aspirin 250 mg, acetaminophen 250 mg, and caffeine 65 mg. It is marketed for the treatment of migraine pain as well as accompanying symptoms such as nausea, phonophobia, and photophobia.

Chloraseptic Warming Sore Throat Spray
Chloraseptic has introduced Warming Sore Throat Spray, containing warming ingredients in addition to phenol. The spray is available in honey lemon flavor and marketed as “hot tea on the go.”

Linzess (linaclotide)
Linzess (linaclotide) is a novel prescription therapy for the treatment of chronic idiopathic constipation and irritable bowel syndrome with constipation. Linaclotide is a first-in-class guanylate cyclase type-C (GC-C) agonist; by binding to the GC-C receptor locally in the intestine, linaclotide produces an increase in both intracellular and extracellular concentrations of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). Elevations in intracellular cGMP are believed to stimulate secretion of intestinal fluid and accelerate gastrointestinal transit, resulting in increased frequency of bowel movements. Linzess is a capsule taken once daily on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before the first meal of the day.
